About RKKM

Rajkumar Kewalramani Kanya Mahavidyalaya came into existence in 1972. The institution is a Linguistic (Sindhi) Minority Institution managed by Sindhi Navyuvak Mandal, Nagpur.

The educational society works to serve students right from Kindergarten to Post Graduation. Undergraduate courses offered by the institution include programmes in Arts.

The organization also offers following Post Graduation courses in:

  • Hindi Literature
  • Sociology
  • Home Economics

The college is well institutionalized with facilities like an up-to-date library, Home Economics Lab, Computer Lab and Fashion Designing Lab. The education body not only focuses on academics but also lays emphasis on extra-curricular activities, resultantly fostering values in students that make them a responsible samaritan. The college is also equipped with a gymnasium.

The foundation of the college has been shaped to empower women in the stratum of the society. The environment focuses on the overall development of women making them independent and socially stable. The faculty aims at instilling values of professionalism along with promoting academic growth. Students hail from all backgrounds but are treated equally and are let to voice their opinions on all matters. The curriculum and the faculty provoke students to think critically and conclude sound opinions making them brood leadership qualities. The college encourages its students to actively involve and participate in sports competitions. Rajkumar Kewalramani Kanya Mahavidyalaya hockey team has represented the college in the State and National Level events. Faculties in charge of these departments have gained experience over the years and inculcate the same in the students. The establishment also supports an active NSS Unit and Study Centre for YCMOU and Distance Learning programmes from Alagappa University. The institution hones all the facilities and faculties required for all round development and empowerment of women.
